Philanthropy

Over the last 35 years Bernie has been responsible for raising over £40 million pounds for the charities he has supported both in the UK, Africa & Nepal.

His work continues today as he supports hundreds of people dedicated to make the UK, Africa, Nepal & the Country's of the United Nations a better place for all to work, live, love & play raising millions each year!

He is an internationally renowned motivational speaker having spoken at the United Nations in New York, House of Lords & Commons UK, TEDx in Liverpool, England, Henry Schein in Madrid, Spain, American Express & Turing Talks in Edinburgh, Scotland. He is a mentor, trustee of two charities & sits on the board of the School for Social Entrepreneurs (SSE) NW England (running 3 social enterprises within developing areas of Kenya) World Merit & The Turing Trust.

He invented the first ever musical Braille cards enabling visually impaired children & adults to play music. And invented the financial products "Merchant Giving" & "Dosis" since launched they have raised thousands of pounds for Charities within the U.K. Including Bridge2Aid, Royal Medical Benevolent Foundation know as the "Doctors Charity". He is also an author, film maker & founder of the worlds first visually impaired ukulele orchestra "Ukulele Light Orchestra"; He is an ambassador for Wallace & Gromit Children's Charity, Save the Children  Barnardo's, St Vincent's School for Visual Impairment.

Bernie was honoured by the Duchess of Cornwall with the President Certificate of Appreciation from Barnardo's for the millions of pounds raised & the support given. Additionally, Bernie was honoured by Her Majesty the Queen invested as an OBE / Ordinary Officer of the Order of the British Empire for his Services to Charity. 

Bernie is also the holder of the Guinness World Record for the longest distance ran in 7 consecutive days.
